Everyone loves to eat out from time to time & it can be especially hard to stick to your diet & macros while doing so! Instead of avoiding going out or watching your friends enjoy their food while you can’t, here are some of my go-to options for my favorite places!!

Subway ~ This is a classic. Whether it is subway, jersey mikes, or another sub shop, opting for wheat bread & grilled chicken with veggies is always the way to go! You can get lots of protein in and avoid some of those heavy calories that other sandwiches have. I try to get grilled chicken over anything else while eating out. & remember to be mindful of the sauces / cheese!!

Chi-Fil-A ~ ONE OF MY FAVORITE FAST FOODS!! They have absolutely so many healthy options to choose from. If I want to indulge in fries or just grab a small & extremely healthy meal, the grilled chicken nuggets are the way to go. 51g of protein in 8 nuggets is absolutely insane & it is so so so delicious (arguably better than their fried chicken). They also have a grilled market salad that is AMAZING & offers a lot more substance. Although there is 20g of sugar in it, it is all natural sugars from the fruits! I usually only add one packet of sauce as well to cut the calories more.

Mcdonalds ~ Another staple. Especially here in America LOL! It is extremely hard to get anything remotely low calorie or healthy there, but their mcdouble definitely offers a lot of protein and tastes amazing.

STARBUCKS ~ Probably the most popular fast food place in America and the most common place to go with your girlies. There are tons of different low calorie drinks & substitutes that they offer, but my favorite is the Oatmilk Shaken Espresso (iced & venti ofc). It is so delicious and so much healthier than other flavored drinks. I also LOVE their iced americanos, but I have yet to meet another person who enjoys their coffee black.

Everywhere else ~ There are always some healthy options I opt for while eating out and wanting to be good on my diet. Remember it is more than okay to indulge & enjoy delicious foods. Treat yourself and keep that balance. However, here are some tricks I have learned while eating out

1. Grilled Chicken Salad w/ vinegar dressing. Always offers great protein and much lower calories than most other dishes, if not every other dish. And if you can’t tell, i’m obsessed with grilled chicken.

2. Sweet potato fries! So savory and satisfying but much much healthier than other carb dishes or sides.

3. I try to always drink only water or iced teas. It is so easy to drink wayyy more calories than you planned so I try to avoid them.
