I was surprised that oomomo is selling this pen! out of curiosity I got one to try and it’s the coolest idea ever! you get to “make” your own pen in the process and with any fountain pen ink you like! I love the color Lady Rose from ferris wheel press and I really wished there’s a pen ink in this color, so this customizable pen is perfect for this purpose.

so what you’re gonna do is to pop the sponge stick into the ink. it absorbs ink from the bottle in a few seconds so be ready to take the sponge out asap, and you only want the ink to go up to about 80% of the tube. I use a pair of tweezers to take it out to prevent any mess. chuck the sponge into the pen body and cap it with the end cap, make sure to push it all the way down. then wait for a couple of minutes to let the ink saturate the tip of the pen and you’re ready to write!

I compared this pen to my platinum meteor fountain pen, also filled with Lady Rose, and the ink turns out lighter with this pen. so far I like how the tip writes, it feels like writing with a felt pen!

I think this pen would be great if you have a few fountain pen inks sitting around and don’t want to use it with a fountain pen!
