upcoming historical fiction releases

i'm in my audiobook era. to think i used to *not like* audiobooks?? how did i survive before?? my days were silent and sad. ok, that might be a tad dramatic but audiobooks certainly do spice things up. the key is finding a book that hits both in story and in narration. if one is lacking, i find audiobooks feel like a drag. but if they are both spot on? i can't stop, won't stop listening.

the rom-commers: i was apprehensive because this was a romance that's *not* dual narration BUT it's all from one perspective so it makes sense. the narrator's voice is sooo smooth and full of emotion. i found myself feeling everything right alongside our lead.

acts of desperation: only listen to this if you want to feel a little sad, because it's a little sad. perfect for fans of sally rooney. the narrator's accent is divine.

the silent patient: my friend told me i needed to listen to this, and she was right. man, this was GOOOD and honestly i'm not a thriller girl. you could really *feel* the tension rising until the shocking finish.
