This book broke my heart…

This book broke my heart. I don’t often cry at books. But this one… oh, boy, did I. I literally had to stop reading because I could not see the page THROUGH MY TEARS. The heartbreak occurs in book two of the ‘Six of Crows’ duology by Leigh Bardugo. I’m not going to spoil anything — if you know you know — but the pain is worth it. If you haven’t read these books yet, oh you must!!

This a spin-off series from the ‘Shadow and Bone’ trilogy. Bardugo is SO GOOD at writing compelling casts of characters and the grouping in ‘Six of Crows’ is pure magic. The way these characters work together, test one another, banter with each other, love one another. It’s all perfection. A well-oiled machine if you will.

These are heist books. And beyond the characters, the plot is SUPER intricate. Like Miss Bardugo, how does your brain work?? you’ll be hooked on the journey and you won’t want it to end.
