A trilogy I devoured

Serpent and Dove Trilogy by Shelby Mahurin! Why did I not read these books sooner?! The first book has been sitting on my shelf for over three years (criminal) and I finally decided to read it because I saw she published a new vampire romance. (Yes, I love vampire romances, and I’m hoping they come back in full force.) However, that book (The Scarlet Veil) is a spin-off duology set in the Serpent & Dove world. *Technically* I could read it without first reading the OGs but that felt wrong, so I went for it.

I AM SO HAPPY I DID. This has everything I love about YA fantasy: sweet romance (Reid, the MMC, is my favorite), magic and a world that’s well-explained and you can fall right into, a great cast of characters (all of which you’ll love), and some plot twists!

It’s about witches, witch-hunters (yes, the witch falls for the witch hunter and vice versa), dark magic and the race to break a curse! I can’t recommend them enough. I’ve devoured each! #lemon8partner #lemon8bookclub
