Water Flossing!

This is kind of embarassing but I barely used to floss. My teeth are crowded and it makes my gums bleed. I'm blessed in that I've never had a cavity (brushing 2x a day with my electric toothbrush was a good start) but after a recent dentist appointment he said if I didn't get better at flossing my luck would soon run out.

So I went on Amazon, got a water flosser, and holy cow, it's life changing! My mouth has never felt so clean. The first time I used it was at night and I swear my mouth still felt clean in the morning.

If you're thinking of trying one here are a few tips:

1. Get a "travel" one because they don't have large water tanks. These take less space in the bathroom and....

2. You can use it in the shower. Where are my other shower toothbrushers at? This is the perfect addition to that routine. Water flossing (esp in the beginning) can be kind of a mess. Water goes everywhere and you have to spit a lot. The shower is just cleaner.

3. If you have sensitive teeth use the soft or child settings.

4. If your teeth are sensitive to cold use luke warm water.

5. Mine is a generic brand from Amazon.
