ok with that out of the way, i learned from recent blood work at my doctor’s office that a) i am anemic and b) i am vitamin d deficient. now this could be attributed to different things, like not getting enough sunlight in a place like chicago, or having too little red meat in my diet🥩
and honestly this explained so much about how i was feeling so easily fatigued in class and had little energy to get through my day.
but while i chose to take these supplements per my doctor’s recommendation, i am also actively incorporating other aspects of my current lifestyle to help obtain the deficient nutrients i need, such as eating more proteins and leafy greens and taking longer walks in the morning🚶♀️
i also made sure to take my prescription medications as prescribed by my specialists to continue feeling healthy and happy 🧘🏻
anyways, here is my list! 🤠
iron (ferrous sulfate, once a day): for my anemic girlies
who get dizzy when standing up too fast and need to
drink more water 😵💫
vitamin D (D3): for those not getting enough sunlight during the winter and need that boost of energy to get through the seasonal blues 🥶
