Going out by myself

Today I went out for the first time by myself. I’d been putting it off because I always feel awkward out in public, but I used to work at Chillis so I thought it would be a good place to start:) I sat at the bar and talked with the bartender who was a literal gem, which helped with the awkwardness I feel when I sit by myself and I got to see some old coworkers which was super nice.

I got a lil drink and my favorite foods from there and overall it was a really good experience. I thought it was going to feel awkward and uncomfortable but I think sitting at the bar helped since I could talk with the bartender and not just sit and stare into space, or at my phone.

📒Notes: If you’re nervous to go out by yourself, literally me, trust me I get it, but after pushing myself I realized it’s not that bad and I actually enjoyed it??? You should too!! Going out alone can be super nerve racking but once you realize no one really cares if you’re alone or what you’re doing it’s a whole lot easier to push yourself to get out there.

Definitely going to do this again!!
