Cute Summer Braid Hairstyle

Lately this has been my go to hairstyle for this summer season. Well...maybe because I cut my bangs way too short and I can't get them to stay curled the way I want. But anyways I love how easy this is quick to do and a simple yet cute hairstyle.

First I like to part my hair into two to each side. Make sure to evenly part your hair or else one side will look fuller and the other will look thinner.

Second I part each side into three strands.

Referring to the #3 slide, you want to put strand #2 and #3 over strand #1 and continue to do a simple 3 strand braid from there.

Simply just bring one strand over the other and continue to do that until you reach the end of your hair.

Lastly you want to tie your hair with small elastic bands. You can get any elastic bands from any stores but you can find colorful ones like the one in #5 slide from Fivebelow, Dollar tree, or Walmart for $1-$3.

I like to tie my hair with 2 elastic bands to make it tighter because sometimes one elastic band can break throughout the day. For some reason they tend to break throughout the day and don't last long. Sometimes I go by my day and look down to my hair and see a missing elastic band. Has anyone else experience this or is just me and the elastic band brand that I buy?
