Why ICELAND should be on your bucket list:

🇮🇸 My family and I went back in 2022, and it was the trip of a lifetime! Here’s why:

🇮🇸 There are ENDLESS amounts of waterfalls to stare at. This pic is from Gullfoss Falls which is apart of the Golden Circle - a must do in Iceland.

🇮🇸 You can stand in between two tectonic plates (North American and Eurasian) that are slowly separating. Even better: you can snorkel or scuba dive the rift! This is at Thingvellir National Park , also a part of the Golden Circle.

🇮🇸 Bathe in a geothermal spa! There are many around the country, but we went to the Blue Lagoon and it was a crazy cool day. There’s another one in Reykjavik if you don’t want to go to the Blue Lagoon. Pro tip: don’t go peak in the day, we went around 5 PM after our flight and there was nobody there!

🇮🇸 Take hikes behind waterfalls! There are so many cool hikes but this is a noteworthy one. This is Seljalandsfoss and it is a slippery and wet hike, but so amazing.

🇮🇸 See the Iceland Alpines. These flowers are gorgeous and were everywhere all over the country in June.

🇮🇸 Feel like you’re on another planet! One day we went to the highlands at Landmannalaugar and did a two hour hike. It was absolutely amazing and surreal!
