These are some of the best cookies I’ve ever made!
Ingredients:
1 cup (2 sticks or 16 tablespoons) unsalted butter, melted until browned and brought back to room temperature (see post for more on this)
2 and 1/3 cups all-purpose flour (plus more ONLY if the dough seems to need it; adding one tablespoon at a time)
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 cup + 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs, at room temperature
12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, roughly chopped
Instructions:
1. Melt butter on stove for 4 minutes or until butter is brown. Put in fridge for 1 hour or until at room temp and slightly solid.
2. Mix flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl
3. Mix butter, sugars, vanilla, and eggs until combined
4. Scoop in dried ingredients into the wet ingredients, add more flour if needed. 1 tablespoon at a time
5. Chop up semi sweet chocolate and fold it into cookie dough
6. Bake at 375 for 9-10 minutes
