Basically art school in a book!

Honestly, this book could replace the Natural Science Illustration program I completed last year, and save everyone A LOT of money! John Muir Laws is not related to his namesake, but carries the same principles of preservation and nature stewardship. If I had to recommend a single book to someone interested in art and even remotely inspired by nature, this would be my pick. Every single page is a visual delight. It’s rare to find so many full color illustrations and literally every page is full of color, and step by step instructions. He covers the basics of materials, drawing and painting, and can give you a great start on your art learning journey. 10/10!
