Is “rental friendly” real or a sales gimmick?!

Y’all this isn’t my first rental rodeo but it is my first experience like this ! 😩

I’ve had “peel and stick” wallpaper in my apartment bathroom, kitchen wall and as a backsplash for the kitchen sink.

The bathroom & kitchen backsplash wallpaper removed seamlessly and in full sections .

The kitchen accent wall on the other hand is a nightmare !

I have a relative that’s a professional painter & they said it likely was not primed correctly by the landlords before I applied the wallpaper which lead to the bottom half taking the paint with it.

Bottom line: be careful when applying peel & stick because you never know how the walls underneath are painted , if they’re low quality like mine , you’ll end up with this mess too.

* I also used a blow dryer and a warm washcloth in spots to try and get it to budge as I was peeling it off but that mf was one with the paint at that point 😅

I’m super annoyed to say the least because this is literally the last thing anyone wants to deal with when moving out in less than a week … brb while I sob and patch/ paint this shit
