I did a pageant, here’s why.

My choir teacher runs Miss Walters. One day after school I had some copies I had to run off for her and when I took them to her she was in the first ever Miss Walters meeting for the season. As I was walking out to go home she called my name and ran to me, she asked if I wanted to try out for Miss Walters. I can’t say no to this lady so I walked back into the meeting and listened. Next thing I know I’m practicing daily for this pageant, buying all sorts of outfits for all the things we do being apart of Miss Walters, and I had to find a talent that I was good at. 6 weeks later it was time to shine on stage in front of hundreds of people. Miss Walters was such a humbling experience and I made such sweet memories with all the girls and even the team of people helping put it all together. If you ever get the chance to do a pageant I definitely think you should! It’s not all about winning but making memories with people you never thought you would!
