TLDR ➡️ I finally took the plunge to embrace enjoying a life without alcohol and I’m loving every bit of this growth for me🪴😌

📓Story time ➡️ At the end of last year I told myself 2024 was going to be my year of sobriety. Yet, day one of the new year I went for the hair of the dog🤦🏼‍♀️ I wasn’t drinking daily, but I was drinking enough for it to impact my wellness and fitness. Feeling sluggish, always having a foggy mind and headache the day after drinking (even just after a few drinks the night before)🥴… The cons certainly outweighed the pros and I acknowledged that, but our society doesn’t make cutting alcohol out easy.

Fast forward to just before my 30th birthday, I revisited the idea of taking a long break from booze. The night before my birthday I had a few of my favorite drinks out at dinner, knowing I was determined to succeed this time around🥳 It’s now been over 100 days and I couldn’t be happier with my decision to stick to it!👏🏼

I’ve taken extended breaks from alcohol in the past, but there’s something about this time that has me wanting to continue for likely forever🤷🏼‍♀️

I am not knocking alcohol for those who enjoy it, but for me, I’ve realized that it no longer serves a purpose in my life and the goals that I have for myself💪🏼
