AFFORDABLE & AESTHETIC CAFE IN CHINATOWN

Came here a while back for a weekday brunch with some foodies and here are my thoughts!!

Despite the cafe not being air conditioned, it was well ventilated with many floral and secret garden inspired decor - giving a really chill and relaxing atmosphere perfect for a good brunch w friends and family✨

Firstly we got the 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗹𝘄𝗶𝗰𝗵 $𝟭𝟮.

Smoked ham, paired with cheddar, truffle scrambled eggs, and tomato spread, sandwiched between a crispy and slightly chewy bagel topped with sesame seeds - how delicious does that sound🤤.

All the ingredients complemented each other and as a whole the bagelwich was flavorous, and worth a try! I especially enjoyed the truffle scrambled eggs, though unfortunately the truffle flavor isn’t consistent throughout.

Moving on, the 𝗢𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲 ”𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗲” $𝟭𝟱

This dish came with two slices of toast, together with wilted spinach, paired with creamy avocado and smoked salmon, laid atop a thin omelette.

This was the crowd favorite, as justified by the perfect flavor combinations and well varied textures. The smoked salmon brought about the perfect amount of saltiness and together with the avocado 🥑 which gave a well need creaminess and balanced of flavors, the dish was just 🤤🤤. My only nitpick would be that the spinach could have been replaced with another vegetable that paired better with the toast.

Lastly we got the 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘂𝘁 𝗕𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗝𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗪𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗹𝗲 $𝟭𝟮 for a sweet balance to the savory dishes.

Soft and crispy blueberry waffles paired with a generous dollop of peanut butter, blueberries 🫐 and a banana 🍌.

mm this unfortunately did not meet our expectations. The waffle was mediocre and despite its soft and chewy texture, it lacked flavor. The blueberries were a nice addition though but i’d give this a pass next time.

Overall this place is definitely worth considering if you’re looking for decent brunch options in SG, plus point is that all prices are nett- so no GST or Service charges🤩, what you see is what you’ll pay!!
