Liquid Matte Lipsticks High vs Drugstore

High end makeup vs drugstore is such a great debate! Even as PRO Makeup Artist I find myself using both equally. At the end of the day it's all about formulas and how you're applying products! Liquid lipsticks are my favorite products because the combinations are truly limitless and finding a comfortable, long-lasting wear is the best adult easter egg hunt!

MAC Locked Kiss Ink 24HR Lip Colour is something I was turned on to by a fellow makeup artist friend…. And I couldn't believe how incredibly soft this formula was! It feels like butter, but not greasy. It feels like it should slide off the lips but it doesn't! It locks in and literally lasts ALL DAY LONG. It actually leaves a bit of a lip stain, which I appreciate on a long busy day.

Maybelline Super Stay Vinyl Ink is a drugstore golden egg. I tried it on a whim and haven't gone back since. It has a great color range. I usually recommend it to my clients who are getting married because they have great Bridal colors. I apply this in light layers to build the coverage I want. It does have a bit of a stickiness when first applying but it quickly fades away and is comfortable after! It’s a great lip product for day to day when you use it more often and need something more affordable.
