Happy weekend! Today I want to share about the 2 romance books I read with similar storylines. And surprisingly I loved both of these books.

Every Summer After

👍Why I like it:

Every Summer After was a great, breath-taking, intense, and unputdownable read. This book is about second-chance romance, from friends to lovers to strangers to lovers.

Percy and Sam met when they were 13 years old. Percy's parents bought a summer lake cottage in Barry's Bay. They became best friends and spent every holiday and every summer together until Percy returned to Toronto for school. Six years were spent together until one day something happened and Percy never returned to Barry's Bay. After receiving news about Sam's mother, Percy decided to go back to visit after 12 years of not seeing Sam.

Every Summer After is a story about Percy and Sam. The timeline switches back and forth between the past and present. One thing I realized, is the story when they were teenagers stood out more than when they were adults. But both were interesting. Swear on it? I swear.

Their friendship was beautiful. Sam was beautiful. One of the fictional characters I fell in love with. I don't know how you feel about love, but when I read this book, I felt all the emotions, especially what love feels like.

Every Summer After was written beautifully and there wasn't any dull moment. This book is my new all-time favorite book.

Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren

There are some books that you know you are going to be so obsessed with. Love and Other Words is one of them.

Love and Other Words is a celebration of the fragility of love, the beauty in literature and the strength of true friendship to overcome anything.

Love and Other Words is a kind of slow burn romance and I liked it very much. I didn’t expect that this book would be so cozy and full of warmth. This book is told in two timelines-in the past when Macy’s mom died and in the present when Macy and Elliot run into each other after being estranged for almost eleven years.

Love and Other Words is such a sweet romance. Macy and Elliot are too precious. They deserve to be happy and in love. They deserve to be together together. Because they are everything to each other and also to me. I love them so much. This is a very simple story but this book gives me so much feels. I can’t describe in words.

You should pick it up if you haven’t.
