Sport Romance Book That Not Really For Me

✨📚 Princess and the Player by Ilsa Madden-Mills 📚✨

I have been avoiding myself from reading this book but I tried to read it anyway because I was curious and I saw a lot of post about the first book.

I didn’t expect this book would be a bit too angsty. I was expecting a light rom com story. The plot is okay, but there’s too much info dump about the main characters pasts thrown in this just for the sake of justifying their behavior. I didn’t understand.

The character development was good though. Francesca was a strong female main character. She was a foster child with sad pasts but I find her quite an annoying character sometimes. Tuck also had a sad past but he was kind of a privileged boy. I cannot connect with Tuck’s character. Something about him felt off and I couldn’t figure out the right reason. Maybe because he’s so cold and cynical.

I wanted to love this book but it was just okay and I’d probably forgot about it after posting this review.
