Is Omakase worth it in Japan?

YES IT IS!! 😍😍

Was questioning myself if it is really worth it to spend on Omakase when you can go to any sushi restaurant in Japan. But after trying it myself, it is not the same at all 😂

You don’t have to go to expensive ones to get a good experience. You can find affordable ones that taste really good as well.

We wanted to try the popular one on TikTok that cost only about $40? But we didn’t manage to get a reservation and found this instead.

It is a 17 course Omakase and our total bill inclusive of 4 bottles of beer was about SGD200!!

Super worth it?!?!

I’m sure it already cost that amount for 1 person in SG😂

The first item was already DAMN GOOOOOD! The uni tasted so sweet. No fishy/drain water smell at all👍🏻

The fried abalone is also something different from usual, SUPER TASTY! It is stewed for hours before deep frying. The texture is not super chewy which is good. LOVE IT🥰

Another sushi that was really good is the anago sushi. Instead of unagi, they use sea eel. Super soft and fluffy texture🤤

Some tasted like normal sushi but most of it is different. They have their own sauces and twist to it.

Their last main is a bowl of rice, something like chirashi don but different. They added egg white foam and egg yolk on top of the rice and you have to mix it before eating. Feels so light with this mixture.

Oh! & you can choose the size of your rice as well. I got small as I am already super full by the last course!

Overall, it was a really good experience! Will try other places in the future if there’s a chance😂
