eyelid tapes…do they really fix uneven eyelids???

on this week of #itriedthissoyoudonthaveto series, we’re reviewing eyelid tapes.. 🫣 my eyelids started to become uneven at the start of the year and I wasn’t bothered by it initially as I thought it’ll turn back after a few days, since most of the time I had it was due to insufficient sleep. but fast forward HALF A YEAR, it is STILL HERE and REFUSE TO GO AWAY 😭😭😭

& yes, i searched all over google and youtube and tried eye massages // putting ice on my eyelids, BUT THEY NEVER WORKED T.T until I gave in and decided to get these tapes. initially i was comprehensive about getting these because

1. i was scared it wld look obvious if i put it on

2. i wanted a natural way of resolving these uneven eyelids (&for it to stay permanently)

but ya anyways there was no other method anymore & I heard that apparently if I apply this for quite some time, it will make my eyelids even permanently SO YES I GOT THIS FROM SHOPEE at only $1.61 🤩

& here’s my final review:

first look - not bad, tapes are thin & translucent so it’s less obvious on the eyes. i rec getting the white one instead of the skin color one as everyone’s skin color is different and it may look more obvious. & tbh i’m not sure what the diff between the big and small one is, but i supposed its how big you want the gap between the eyelid folds. I got the small one though

Today I finally tried it out & BRO do YOU see the DIFFERENCE???

👍🏻definitely very effective in evening out the eyelids !! & if you leave it on for a few hours before removing it, your eyelids may still stay even for a few more hours (not guaranteed but mine did!! it stayed on for like >10hours LOL)

👍🏻 not obvious if you don’t look down

👍🏻 overall pretty easy to put on, especially if you have a eyelid tweezer + y-stick !! most shopee shops provide it for for free but mine didn’t, but i still found it manageable to put on by hand

👎🏻 i’ve heard of people saying that you can only redo the placement two times, if not it will become less sticky & may drop out / look obvious. so that’s a point to take note of!

*you may want to get those eyelid tweezers & y-stick to help you put it on better, but in my case the seller didn’t provide (some shops provide for free!!)

👎🏻when you look down (& your whole eyelid is exposed), you will be able to tell that there’s an eyelid tape there if you look closely :( but i found that putting some water kind of helps it “dissolve” into the skin better!!

👎🏻after a few hours, corners fell off a little and was p obvious & uncomfortable so I took it out. but after while, my eyelids became even for some reason 🤣🤣

& in the end, my eyelids stayed even for like 12+hours even after taking it out so 😆😆😆

overall verdict? yes, definitely something you shld consider investing in if you want to fix your uneven eyelids !! i think this will define help to get your eyelids even permanently, if you keep putting it on for a few hours everyday :))
