waving goodbye to acne ✨️

hi 🍋🍋🍋,

here's how I deal with my acne summarised in 4 photos ✨️

the reason why I started developing acne can be broken down into 3 parts:

01. my ccas!

I was from a uniform group in secondary school and then a sports cca in junior college which means I was under the sun A LOT, back then I had no idea how to protect my skin hence I went through 6 years of cca without sunscreen...YES DO NOT BE LIKE ME

02. lack of proper skincare routine

I did not had anyone to guide me through how to properly take care of my face...the idea of having a skincare routine only came about when I was around 17 years old with the financial capability to buy my own skincare products (at this point I did not know what my skin needs, my skin type, which product I should use etc I was just experimenting with whatever I got from watsons/guardian)

03. covid mask wearing

rmb when I said I was from a sports cca in jc? That was also when covid happened. Sweaty and dirty after PE/CCA but had to put on a mask...this combination was a killer 😐

so...here are a few products that worked for me!✨️✨️✨️

01. april skin carrotene ipmp pimple clearing solution

- honestly one of the best products, lightened my scars too (but results are obvly not immediate took close to a year)

02. origins spots removal acne treatment gel

- only used this as a last resort bc people around me told me that the chemicals are pretty strong

03. toners

- my skin is actually quite dry to begin with and the secretion of oil was a result of the dry skin. A few layers of these toners / using it as a mask helped a lot in moisturising my skin !!

Hopefully these solutions are useful for you (I know they are nothing too fancy/make use of high end technology but for myself I've never tried any kind of treatment/facial because of how pricey most of them are considering I was only 17-19 back then😭) If you are dealing with pimples/acne rn, I just wna say give your skin the time to heal, it will definitely get better!!
