Picanhas’ is a gem of a restaurant that offers a unique dining experience for steak lovers. True to their name, they serve Brazilian-style steaks, guided by their mission of “we don’t serve food, we serve people”!

Service 👋

Besides their steaks, I thoroughly enjoyed dining here because of their top notch service. The staff were quick to get us seated and were incredibly friendly throughout, even making a few jokes, and very kindly helping us with a few group photos towards the end.

Food 🥩

For the price point, our meal was SO worth it! Everyone got the Queen of Steak (p.s. they’re all cooked till medium rare!) and the flavour of the steak got everyone nodding and chomping away in silence. It was seasoned with salt and pepper, and it’s amazing how good food doesn’t require much seasoning to taste this good.

Besides the steak which is obviously the star of the show, I really enjoyed their variety of sides too. Especially the spinach, potatoes and mushrooms – 10/10 would recommend you to get these sides alongside the main dish. The spinach was very creamy and I definitely would’ve gone for a second serving if only my belly could accommodate the food :p

We finally topped off the meal with Apple Crumble and Chocolate Dream AND OH. MY. GOD. Was the first thing I said when I tasted the Apple Crumble. Accompanied by a scoop of vanilla ice cream (which tasted so light & refreshing btw), the Apple Crumble is THE dessert you need to ~cleanse~ your palate after a heavy meal. I LOVED the touch of almond crumble and for anyone who enjoys crumbles in their spreads (I’m looking at u crunchy speculoos lovers), you’ll probably like this too.

The Chocolate Dream on the other hand was more indulgent but SO FRICKIN’ GOOD TOO. The brownie paired with dark chocolate AND ALMOND CRUMBLE AGAIN! You can bet I had a food coma after but it was worth every bite of this meal.

Oh! And if you’re choosing the sauces to go with your meal, I’d go for the chimichurri sauce 😉

Price Point 💲

Overall, I think the steaks and other foods here are priced reasonably comparative to other steakhouses. The Queen of Steak costs ~$26 while the Dons and Pasta are relatively cheaper. The sauces cost $2++ each, sides at $7++ each, and desserts at $12-15++ each.
