With the sudden cold weather, me and so many of my friends are coming down with colds, coughs, and sinus build up. Considering I start uni again next week, I had to get over this FAST! Here’s some of the things I do to get better quickly and naturally! (Note: This does not supplement actual medication, I still took cold meds every morning!)
1. Hot showers then COOL rise:
Hot steamy showers can be really good to clear up your sinuses and your body but I always love to turn the shower to a bit of a cooler temperature at the end to help regulate my body temperature and get ready to leave to hot room to my cooler/cold room.
2. Ginger Shots:
These are heaven sent. They help your immune system, digestion, energy, and cholesterol. Ginger is a natural anti-inflammatory and antibiotic! Throw all the ingredients in the recipe together into a blender, strain the mixer, and enjoy! So good for everyday use too!
3. Soothing Face Mask:
Helps with puffiness and dry skin! I personally love and only use Avatāra products as they are super clean and effective! I love to use the app ‘YUKA’ to see which product are the best for my skin without any of the dangerous and unnecessary chemicals.
4. WATER! WATER! WATER!
I should even have to explain this one. When you’re sick your body needs water and fluids. Add some lemon, mint, or cucumbers if you don’t like the flavor of water! I also love Gatorade and Vitamin Water when I’m not feeling well!
