3 books to understand WW2

Hey y’all! So I’m not too much of a history buff, but I can’t lie that these 3 books have gotten me so much more interested in WW2 and the holocaust. There are tons of other great media options out there, but these three titles are the ones that truly helped educate me!

Maus is such a good book! I truly enjoyed the comic visuals and the way the author is telling his father’s story. I absolutely devoured this book in a matter of 2 days and I would love to read the rest of the series.

The Diary of Anne Frank, as my followers know, left a profound impact on me. Her bravery, her ability to put her hardship and girlhood into words is truly inspiring.

Last but certainly not least, I actually just finished the book thief last night and although it took me a while to get through, this allowed me to get really attached to the characters and got me teary eyed at the end for sure. A beautiful story of kindness and friendship, but also cruelty and hardship.
