Utah is one of the most beautiful US states to visit. It has for travelers five national parks, 46 state parks, 5 national historic sites & trails, and a dozen national monuments & recreation areas. Consider this list of the best Utah Parks for your Utah road trip this fall.

9 days trip:

📍Arches National Park — 2 days

📍Canyonlands National Park — 0,5 day

📍Dead Horse Point State Park — 0,5 day

📍Capitol Reef National Park — 1 day

📍Bryce Canyon National Park — 1 day

📍Zion National Park — 2 days

📍Glen Canyon National Recreation Area & Lake Powell — 1 day

📍Monument Valley — 1 day

For Arches, I recommend 2 days to visit all the best sports and do short hikes — there are a lot of them + an extra day for the Delicate Arch hike (2-3 hours).

Canyonlands and Dead Horse you can visit in one day — they are located 15 min one from another and you don’t need much time to explore.

Capital Reef, Bryce Canyon, Glen Canyon and Monument Valley are very picturesque and interesting, but if you to see the most famous locations, it’s enough to plan 1 day per each.

And Zion National Park also requires more time if you want to do the popular The Narrows hike (3-7 hours depending on how far you go) and Angels Landing (4-5 hours).

For all of them, the best time to visit is the “shoulder” seasons: early-mid spring and mid-late fall. These are fantastic opportunities to visit Utah that bring more mild temps during the day, beautiful nature and fewer people.
