Grand Canyon is truly one of the most famous natural wonders. I’ve visited it 3 times and would like to share the best viewpoints and useful information before you go!

🚗 Time to Grand Canyon (South Rim)

3 h 30 min from Phoenix

4 h 20 min from Las Vegas

7 h 30 min from Los Angeles

Price: $35 or America the Beautiful Park Pass.

🌸 Spring (March to May) and Fall (September to November) are the best seasons to visit. The weather is mild, and you'll avoid extreme heat or cold. ☀️ Summer (June to August) is popular but can be crowded and hot, while ❄️ winter (December to February) brings colder temperatures and some trail closures.

Must-See Locations in Grand Canyon National Park:

✔️Grand Canyon South Rim: The most popular and accessible part of the Grand Canyon with stunning panoramic views, visitor centers, and hiking trails.

✔️North Rim: Less crowded but equally breathtaking, offering different perspectives and unique hiking opportunities. Has a short season: May 15 through October 15.

✔️Desert View Watchtower: Known for its iconic Watchtower and panoramic vistas of the eastern Grand Canyon.

✔️Havasupai Indian Reservation: A remote and beautiful region with waterfalls and creeks, it is situated in a Grand Canyon separate area — you need permission to go there.

Best Viewpoints:

✔️Mather Point: Located on the South Rim, it provides a dramatic overlook of the canyon.

✔️Yavapai Point: Offers expansive views and exhibits about the geology and history of the Grand Canyon.

✔️Hopi Point: Known for its jaw-dropping sunsets and panoramic views of the Colorado River.

🥾 Best Trails and Mileages:

- Rim Trail: 13 miles

- Bright Angel Trail: 7.9 miles

- S Kaibab Trail: includes the famous Ooh-Aah Point (1.8 miles round trip) or the full hike to the Colorado River (14.2 miles)

💡 What You Should Know Before Visiting Grand Canyon:

- Plan ahead: Accommodations at the park can fill up quickly, so make reservations in advance.

- Stay hydrated: The Grand Canyon's high elevation and dry climate necessitate drinking plenty of water and protecting yourself from the sun.

- Be prepared for crowds: The Grand Canyon is a popular tourist destination, so expect larger crowds during peak seasons.

- Safety first: Stay on designated trails and be cautious near the canyon's edges.
