Why to visit White Sands National Park

This National Park left me inspired to plan a New Mexico adventure. Why visit it?

White Sands is worth visiting, it's really beautiful and you even don't need any activities there, because it's nice to enjoy this scenery without any distractions. And photography is a must!

But if you want something interesting, you can do:

— camping

— bicycling

— driving dunes

— hiking

— picnicking

— sledding

Quick tips:

+ the best time to visit is October through May

+ don’t forget sunscreen (I was sunburnt😬)

+ the park has not food services

+ when military tests are in progress Dunes Drive is closed to all traffic — check the official website

I stayed in Las Cruces, the city closest to this Park where you can find hotels chains like Hilton, Marriott or IHG — it's actually still 1-hour drive to the Park.

The closest airport is located in El Paso, Texas — almost on Texas/New Mexico border.
