BRONZER VS CONTOUR

Often times, bronzer and contour get mistaken as the same thing, but they are two very different makeup products.

both are not necessary but they can provide a sculpted and snatched look if done correctly

contour sticks/contour powders are very cool toned, borderline gray, and they are used to enhance the shadows of the face. One would place contour in the hollows of their cheeks. This is to help emphasize their shadows to achieve a more slim face.

bronzer is very warm, usually undertones of reds and oranges. bronzer is used to bring warmth to the face and this achieves a sun-kissed look. Bronzer gets placed on the high points of the cheeks, bridges of the nose, and temples of the forehead. Pretty much wherever the sun would naturally hit you.

it’s very subtle but in the last picture you can see on the contour side that the hollows of my cheeks are more cool tones and defined versus the bronzer side. the bronzer side gives my face more color and vibrancy whereas the contoured side provides shading and sculpting.
