I tried this money changer machine in Korea 🇰🇷💰

I have been seeing this currency exchange machine around Korea and i thought “okay, why not give it a try” + the exchange rate was pretty okay (I was skeptical HAHAH)

Here’s how the machine works:

1. The machine has 2 options - top up korean won straight to a korean card (It’s like a youtrip equivalent that you can purchase from the machine at a small fee) or get korean won in cash

⚠️ Selecting the korean card means using credit card to exchange into the card, while selecting korean won in cash means using your currency notes to exchange.

2. Once you select your option (we selected korean won cash), they will ask you to scan your passport (so remember to bring your passport our) for identification purpose

3. Once done, insert your currency notes (they only accept $50/$100 SG notes) and they will convert the korean won out! (literally works like a bank)

It’s super hassle-free + easy to use, and the exchange rate is okay too! BEST PART, it’s almost available everywhere but we’re not sure if the exchange rate differs between each machine though.
