Japanese ramen with Bubble Tea?! 🧋🍜

Menya Kokoro is one of the largest Mazesoba (dry ramen) chain in Japan. Their specialty in Mazesoba has awarded them “Best Mazesoba” by Tokyo Ramen of the Year. But the real question is, is it really that good? 🤔

So here’s my honest review after trying them at Plaza Singapura outlet:

🍜 Chashu Tokyo Mazesoba

- The noodles were very chewy, if you’re someone who loves thick and chewy noodles, this is for you!

- The sauce was sticky and thick but it was quite savoury.

- It kinda felt like our local minced meat noodles though but more dry! 😂

⭐️ 3/5 (Wouldn’t say it’s worth if it’s similar to our BCM)

🍜 Tantan AKA Ramen

- It was meant to be spicy but i couldn’t really taste the spice (I’m not a strong spicy eater)

- The soup was quite bland for me (not sure if it was because it was crowded?) and it was super oily!!!! 😭

⭐️ 3.5/5 (The noodles + meat compensate the rating)

🧋Matcha Latte with Pearls

- Super confused at this drink?! There was no Matcha taste AT ALL (if you’re someone who drinks matcha regularly, you’ll know there’s a thick Matcha texture cus of the powder)!!!

- I ordered the least sweet but it was still super sweet but w/o matcha taste so i guess… i was drinking sugar syrup?! 🥹

- The pearls were not chewy at all

⭐️ 2/5 (I rather buy from bubble tea stores!!)

Ambience: 3/5 (A small & cozy restaurant)

Service: 5/5 (The waitresses were very friendly & efficient)
