Benefits of Farm-Fresh Eggs

They are better for you. Eggs from free-range chickens have higher levels of vitamins.

They have a longer shelf life. Farm-fresh eggs can sit at room temperature for many weeks without going bad because they have a protective coating called bloom on them. I like to keep mine in a basket on the counter. Once washed, the eggs must be refrigerated because the protection is washed off.

They are fresh. No transportation time or sitting on the grocery store shelf. The egg goes from coop to kitchen.
