HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel in seoul

I stayed in Union Hotel during my recent trip to Korea and I fell in love!! 🤍 I was traveling with a friend for the first 9 days and decided to solo for the last 3D2N. Initially I was looking at hostels / affordable hotels, with a budget of around $60. The key things I looked for were safety, cleanliness and location (preferably near a subway station).

I found a few options in the $60-80 range, until I chanced upon this hotel! I was pleasantly surprised at how it cost $95/ night for such great quality (from the photos I see online), reviews seemed amazing as well. So I decided to raise my budget and went with it. And I’m so glad I did! I really had such a great time staying here that I couldn’t bear to leave 🥹🫶🏻

✅ LOCATION

Near the place I wanted to visit such as Mangwon, taking the KTX from Seoul station. All were within 20 mins of public transport. I even explored the area which has a really pretty park (Seonyudo park). Also the hotel is literally 1 min walk from Exit 1 of Seonyudo station.

✅ SPACE

Very surprised by how big the room is! Of course for a solo traveler, it was even more spacious. But for an accommodation in Seoul, it’s really amazing. I’ve stayed in a few hotels in Seoul before and they were usually small, barely fits 2 luggages. However, this fits 2-3 luggages (2 medium/ big, 1 small).

✅ AMENITIES

They have everything except toothbrush & toothpaste 😢, but I’ve seen it in the reviews beforehand so I prepared mine! Otherwise, the shampoo, conditioner etc smells really good :p The toilet also comes with bidet.

✅ CLEANLINESS

Not sure if they just renovated, the room I gotten felt pretty new and clean :> Really happy about that

Overall ratings:

⭐️⭐⭐⭐⭐️/5 I LOVE, and will come back again! Perfect if you want to store luggage too, I did so before and after check in. The receptionists are sooooo friendly! I even rest at the lounge after my check out time because I had to kill time before my airport bus. They play super soothing and calm music / instrumental, really enjoyed that :>

Others:

- You can take the airport bus (6008) from the entrance of the hotel, intervals are hourly. Do check with the receptionist (just in case there’s any changes)

- Do visit the seonyudo park! I really think it’s a hidden gem 🫶🏻

- The reception is at LEVEL 14!!
