which pokemon center should you visit in tokyo!? 🐳

Pokemon is my childhood!! 🫶🏻 But with so many Pokemon Centers around Japan, I'm always at a loss on which one to visit, especially if I have limited time in the city.

During my last trip to Tokyo, I managed to visit three biggest ones in Tokyo, and here are my thoughts 🇯🇵

1️⃣ Pokémon Center Tokyo DX

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Pokémon Center Tokyo DX is the largest Pokémon Center in the world, and it's located in the Nihonbashi district of Tokyo.

The moment you enter the store, you'll notice digital screens displaying a myraid of Pokemon games from different generations, filling you up with a sense of nostalgia.

The store is packed with Pokémon merchandise, including plush toys, figures, clothing, games, and more. There's also a café on the premises where you can enjoy Pokémon-themed food and drinks.

⏰: 10:30am to 9pm daily

2️⃣ Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo

Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo is located in the Sunshine City complex in Ikebukuro. This was the biggest Pokemon Center until the launch of Pokémon Center Tokyo DX. That said, it still has a wide selection of Pokémon merchandise.

There's also a Pokémon Café on the premises, and an area dedicated to Pokemon Go.

⏰: 10am to 8pm daily

3️⃣ Pokémon Center Yokohama

Pokémon Center Yokohama is located in the Yokohama Landmark Tower in Yokohama. This store is a bit out of the way from central Tokyo, but you get to see Kyogre!

There's a shop one level beneath the Pokemon Center that sells official, off-season Pokemon merch at a discounted price. If you're visiting Pokemon Center Yokohama, I'd recommend going to the shop below first for cheaper merch.
