make your PERFUME last LONGER!

Have you ever owned a perfume that smell sooooo heavenly?

These are some of my favourites from Bath and Body Works!

1. Magic in the Air

Smells like floral + vanilla! The base note is Bourbon Vanilla, Musk and Sandalwood. So if you love a warm smell, this is for you. However this last like 2 minutes :/

2. A Thousand Wishes

This has much lighter smell than Magic in the Air. Reminds me of the fizz of champagne during date nights! The base notes contain sugar which explain the sweet smells

3. Rose

My ultimate favourite! I don’t mind overspraying this one. If this is a drug, I would be addicted

They smell sooooo nice but sadly they don’t last that long :( But worry not! Here’s some tips to make them last longer

1. “Marinade” your clothes overnight

A weird tips (I know) but it actually works well! So what you do is, to spray your favourite perfume on your clothes the night before and put it in a black plastic bag. Let it “marinate” and infuse the smell overnight. The next morning, you can wear the clothes and the smell will last longer. However be mindful because certain perfumes tend to stain the clothes

2. Applying unscented lotion before applying perfume to lock the smell

The lotion will lock the particles of the perfume thus making it last longer. The warm and damp skin creates the optimum conditions to fully absorb the perfume. The better moisturized your skin, the longer your scent will stay on. I don’t own an unscented lotion so usually I only wear the normal vaseline lotion and it still works as well. Sometimes, I squeeze my lotion on my palm and spray my perfume directly on it before I spread it all over my body.

3. Don’t rub your perfume!

Biggest perfume mistakes that I used to do in the past was rubbing them after spraying. You are not supposed to rub after spraying because this will destroy or dull the top notes. It also mixes the perfume vigorously with your natural oils, which can change the way it smells. Instead of rubbing, dab it!

4. Apply perfume on your pulse point

This is at your neck, behind the earlobes, wrists, and backs of knees. These areas emit more heat than other parts of your body. And that heat actually activates and maximizes your perfume.
