1️⃣ 𝗘𝗣𝗜𝗗𝗨𝗢 𝗚𝗘𝗟

i think most skincare enthusiasts have heard of epiduo and its benefits for acne-prone skin. my doctor prescribed this for my mild acne about a month ago. i’ve been using it every day or every 2 days depending on how sensitive my skin is that day.

i like how it’s in a pump form and it’s easy to control how much product i use. i only apply this on my oilier areas (ie forehead, nose and chin). i prefer using the sandwich method (moisturiser-epiduo-moisturiser) and it’s been helping to reduce irritation. having said that, i still notice a bit of tingling when my skin is feeling sensitive, especially the area around my nose and part of my jawline that’s closer to my chin. after consistent use, i definitely noticed my blind pimples flattening and a reduction in pimples. my chin is still a work in progress though 🥲 the effects are pretty slow which makes it a better choice for those with sensitive skin!

2️⃣ 𝗔𝗧𝗢𝗣𝗜𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗥 𝗡𝗢𝗡-𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗢𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗟 𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗠

this is a cream that was prescribed by my doctor at national skin centre. it’s a good option for those who are experiencing mild flare ups and are not keen on using steroid creams. it’s a lightweight, beige gel-cream that sinks in easily without any tacky finish. there’s a slight cooling sensation which is pretty soothing during flare ups. this works super well to reduce inflammation while my eczema was going through its healing stages. it kept my skin smooth, supple and dewy.

some may find the strong chemical scent very off-putting though. i got used to it eventually so it’s not a deal-breaker for me. it also stings on broken skin but atopiclair says that’s when you know it’s working. it’s not that moisturising so i have to layer on a heavier cream. the aluminium packaging also makes it a little hard to get the last bits of the cream. it’s also kinda expensive (above $50 for 100ml iirc) and inaccessible since it’s not readily available online. i can’t say if it works for contact dermatitis or psoriasis but it definitely worked for my atopic dermatitis!

**typo in the 3rd pic for psoriasis but i cant edit it :")
