The paint colors we’ve used in our rental so far 🎨

If you’re landlord is okay with it, paint is an easy and fun way to add your touch and style to your rental. Thankfully, our landlord was thrilled when we suggested painting our kitchen and bathroom.

Why did we choose those two rooms to add a splash of color to? Well, both rooms have a LOT of white going on. White cabinets, white toilet, shower, etc. It felt super sterile. I wanted to break up all of the white.

As you can see in the second picture, we did paint some of the cabinets yellow. And in the bathroom, we decided to paint the walls, trim, and ceiling blue.

We were very specific about what colors we went with, because both rooms get very different light. Our kitchen is small but has 3 huge windows. We get a TON of light in there, so we went for a color that literally glows in the light. It has a strong undertone of green, and really brought out a lot of character. In the bathroom, we only have one window, and the blinds are always closed for privacy. We chose to go with a warmer blue, that would feel cozy and beachy and not cold.

For the rest of the house, it is a warmer white. I actually really liked what was already on the walls, and since we have a lot of color and pattern going on, I decided to just color match and touch up any areas that needed it (there were a LOT of marks/holes that needed to be covered up).
