1) I grew up in a Christian household that did not celebrate Halloween. I think my parents saw beyond the costumes and candy back in the day, and just didn’t want to expose my brother and I to anything potentially harmful in the future. So, not only do I dislike Halloween, but I’m also used to not acknowledging it.

2) There’s definitely a specific spirit that comes with Halloween. Halloween is a time where extra emphasis can be put onto demonic practices and concepts without really anyone noticing. I make a lot of my life about exposing hell & darkness, and taking away its power through Jesus Christ, rather than being entertained by it or celebrating it.

3) When it comes to personal preference, I would honestly rather enjoy a holiday with more vibrancy and cheer, rather than mystery and darkness.

4) I think Halloween can be an excuse for people to freely express the negative/unpleasant things inside of them. If they enjoy scaring people or putting on cruel pranks for people that they know, they’re free to do that around this time.

5) When I worked at a childcare center, I would hate to see the kids become nervous and uneasy when the Halloween books would come out. I’ve always been that way. Always hated to see kids get spooked. To be completely honest, I kind of question those who may enjoy that sort of thing.

I understand that not everyone that celebrates Halloween is evil, but at the same time, it’s clear to me that either they’re not aware of the true darkness of Halloween, they don’t think that it can affect them, or they just enjoy it. This post is not to offend anyone, but I think as a community, we could all be mindful and reflect on the things that we engage in. I’m putting myself in that statement too. I know I may get a lot of clap back from people, but I’m all about love and light. Specifically Jesus’s love and light☀️🌸
