Calling all Potterheads!! Want to be a wizard for a day and have fun mixing “potion” or “poison”? 🧪 Or dine like a Hogwarts witch? 🧙🏻‍♀️ If yes, then you gotta visit Platform 1094!

Platform 1094 is a Harry Potter-themed café which is located along Serangoon Road, between Potong Pasir MRT and Boon Keng MRT.

Ambience ✨

As I stepped into the café, I am immediately transported into the enchanting world of Harry Potter. The cosy, cottage-like interior exudes warmth and comfort, creating the perfect atmosphere for customers to relax and dine. There is a nice and cosy “fireplace” with an exquisite sofa which makes it the perfect spot to take pictures in the café.

Adding to the ambience are the Quidditch robes of various houses that are prominently displayed, along with an assortment of wizard hats, ties, wands and brooms which you can use as props for your photoshoot 😍 However, it will be better if the café plays music from the Harry Potter movies to enhance customer experience 😕

My friend and I ordered:

• House-Elves Special Pork Ribs ($25)

The pork ribs were cooked to perfection, with the meat falling off the bone with ease. The pesto mayo was a wonderful complement to the pork ribs and paired perfectly with the creamy mashed potatoes 😋 Not bad but honestly not worth $25…

• The House’s Fans ($12)

We were captivated by the mesmerising display of dry ice fog emanating from the miniature pot. There were gummy worms and flashing ice cubes in the drink, making it unique and magical. However, to our disappointment, the drink tasted like cough syrup 🥲… Again, not worth $12. The only experience is the dry ice and flashing ice cubes 😥

• The Sorcerer’s Blood ($17)

The DIY style of making this drink was fun and engaging (better than The House’s Fans). We enjoyed seeing the flashing ice cube lit up as we poured the drink into the glass. However, while it was a fun experience making it, the taste was underwhelming and tasted like generic fruit punch that you can find at catered buffets 😶

Overall, our visit to Platform 1094 was a delightfully magical experience. From the enchanting interior design to the whimsical food presentation, it truly captured the essence of the Harry Potter theme. However, if you’re looking for exceptional-tasting food, this won’t be the right place for you 😅 Come here for the experience only! 🙂
