Where to go for GRAD PHOTOSHOOT? 🎓 | Studio Review

Hey there! 🐣

Graduation season is approaching and I’m sure you’re probably looking for a photo studio to take pictures with your friends 😆 Last year, I graduated from poly and took pictures at 3 different photo studios. Here’s my review:

📸 ARCADE STUDIO

I visited during Mother’s Day period when there was a Special Mother’s Day Floral Studio Set. I love the backdrop so much!! 😭💗 So so pretty!! (Not sure if they’ll have it this year). My friends and I bought the Classic Package ($45):

⁃ 7 pairs of prints (14 prints)

⁃ 15mins photo taking

⁃ Memento box (to keep your photos)

⁃ 2 pax each session

⁃ All digital copies inclusive (as well as GIFs)

*Additional $15/pax (photo prints inclusive)

There’s only one studio in the store (more privacy) and it was really vibey (trendy music playing in the bg). In the studio, there are benches, stools and many fun props that you can use to spice up your photoshoot 📷 There’s even a tripod to place your phone to time lapse your photoshoot session! However, I found the session short so it was a rush for us (15mins) 😥 Please note that their photo prints are smaller (like a polaroid, 7.6cm x 10.1cm). What I didn’t like was that our digital photos are a bit orangey at a warmer tone. It’s probably the filter I guess. Oh but our physical copies don’t have it.

📸 PHOTOPIA

I visited this place thrice to take my grad photos HAHAHA 😃 Unlike Arcade, Photopia has 2 studios in the store. My friends and I bought the Basic Package ($30):

⁃ 1 single photo (1 x 2/3/4-in-1 collage)

⁃ 20mins photo taking

⁃ 10mins photo selection

⁃ 2 pax each session

⁃ Digital copies of PRINTED photos

*Additional $15/pax (+ 1 Single photo print)

*Full digital copies $30

*Additional photo print (4R) $5

I’m amazed at the facilities at Photopia — a beauty room at the back (with hair straightener & hair dryer 😳), sofas at waiting area, fitting room (with fun dresses??) and a mini fan in the studio. You can even select any 6 background colours. But I find the variety of props pretty less… Their photo prints are 4R-size. Our photos turned out amazing. I love the quality 😍 (prefer this to Arcade).

📸 LIFE4CUT

Yea, this is a photo booth not a photo studio so it’s less professional as compared to Arcade and Photopia. I visited there because I was broke after 4 photo taking sessions HAHAHAHA 🤡 OK BUT I LOVE THERE 🫶🏻 2 copies for $12 with various grids (1/2/3/4/6/8 cuts available). A cheaper alternative as compared to above. I love the variety of props (way more than Arcade and Photopia), including hanbok to try on 👍🏻I love how they touched up my face. So smooth until my pimples are gone 😍 There’s a QR code on your photo print which leads you to download your digital copies (including GIFs). So, if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative, LIFE4CUT IS THE ONE!! 😙
