A Hidden Restaurant in Ampang Which Sells AMAZING

📍 Back Alley Pasta, Ampang

Situated in an unassuming alley, here lays this hidden gem filled with good pasta! Previously, they were so packed that they required TWO MONTHS booking in advance 😭 So I didn’t manage to visit again and again because I wasn’t sure when I would be free 2 months down the line, now they’ve changed their booking system and you could book online 1 month in advance 👀

🦑 𝐒𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐤 𝐓𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢 (𝐑𝐌𝟑𝟐)

The pasta was super flavourful with juicy smoked bacon cooked in creamy carbonara sauce, however recommended for sharing as it may become quite jelak towards the end

A weird description but this ricotta ravioli tasted like mushroom soup 😂 the pasta had wild mushroom pasta folded into it, cooked with thick leek and bacon puree

🥔 𝐁𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐨 𝐆𝐧𝐨𝐜𝐜𝐡𝐢 (𝐑𝐌𝟑𝟔)

This is definitely one of the betters gnocchi I had, chewy and not too soft, loved the miso bachemel sauce with a hint of yuzu too! Braised brisket was very very tender

🦐 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐨 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐇𝐨𝐤𝐤𝐚𝐢𝐝𝐨 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐩 & 𝐈𝐤𝐮𝐫𝐚 (𝐑𝐌𝟏𝟏𝟓)

The risotto had a very interesting flavour which was slightly tangy and infused with fragrant truffle beurre blanc (white butter) and bottarga butter (preserved fish roe). This was another favourite of the night and probably the most unique risotto I’ve ever had, not as thick as heavy as usual ❤️

💚𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐚 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐢 (𝐑𝐌𝟐𝟕)

This may sound weird but their anti pasta is my fav instead of their pasta 😂 this quinoa ball was so good, went really well with the tomato sauce & Parmesan cheese 🥹🥹❤️❤️

🌸𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐬 (𝐑𝐌𝟐𝟕)

Would be perfect for wine-pairing, otherwise I find the sauce a little too salty. The sauce was made from pesto diavola and pecorino romano cheese.
