I’ve been bit by the Peloton bug, but I didn’t want to fully invest in a bike until I could see myself sticking to this workout setup for more than a month. So, I decided to DIY a more affordable “Peloton” setup at home!
My setup:
- Echelon Sport Connect Bike
- clip in + toe cage combo pedals
- iPad + Peloton App
- Bike shoes w/ SPD cleats
- OTF arm heart rate band
- Garmin cadence sensor
- Garmin watch for data
- Peloton to Echelon resistance conversions sheet
- Echelon app for resistance data (freestyle ride)
While my setup may not be the prettiest or cohesive, I still get a killer workout just like I would with an actual Peloton bike!
