one of the most (tbh probably the most) popular gym memberships in sg and im here to tell u why i personally love it alot!

✅ REASON 1: Accessibility 📍

personally I’m a super lazy person and there are many days that I don’t even feel like going to the gym…can you imagine if it was in some ulu location LOL i probs wldnt go 🫣🫣 so it rly helps that there’s a AF super near my house!

✅ REASON 2: Space 🏢

The AF gyms are usually quite roomy and for the gym in my neighbourhood, it has plenty of space for everyone and isnt cramped even during peak hours!

Plus, there’s defo fewer people (compared to school, active sg gyms, etc) so I’ve never really had to share equipment. This is perfect for me cos I’m always very paiseh to ask the gymbros to share esp when I’m lifting way lighter and they have to unrack everything for me LOL 🤣🤣

✅ REASON 3: Equipment 🏋️‍♀️

so far, all of the AFs I’ve been to have really new machines and well-maintained equipment! I’ve been to other gyms which had alot of rusty equipment and it was defo not the best feeling…🥲

I’ve also seen some really interesting machines at different AFs such as stairmaster, curved treadmill, hack squat machine etc. These are even found at smaller neighbourhood gyms! 🤌 I love trying new exercises everytime i go hehe

✅ REASON 4: AF IS INTERNATIONAL 🌎

honestly not a super huge perk but i love the flex of being able to gym WORLDWIDE with the af keyfob!!! I could gym even while on holiday and explore diff gyms overseas which was honestly super fun and interesting! this means ur gym sched wont be interrupted even if youre going away. 🔥

Another really huge plus point to me is that AF is an international brand with many many outlets and members. IMO this means it’s probably less likely to go bankrupt and suddenly shut down (like a looot of gyms hv been doing recently 😵)

🤔 THE PRICE 🤔

Ok i hope I’ve convinced you, but i know that many might be held back by the cost of an AF membership. It defo isnt the cheapest, but i would say you pay for what you get!

I think AF is like a mid-range no-frills gym that offers benefits enough for both beginners 👶🏻 and experienced gym rats 💪!

Personally, I signed up with my gym under the student package so I pay $95/month for 12 months.

overall, i think whats most impt when choosing a gym should be your priorities and what u value! I love AF cos it helps me get in some movement during my #AfterHours, and I always #SavourTheMoment and that post-gym burnnn :)
