HDL BBQ - to try or not to try!

Tried the new HDL BBQ set at $69.90 and while we left stuffed for 3 adults it was quite a strange experience. #haidilao #hdlbbq #haidilaobbq #BBQ #marinasquare

For one we were surprised that the pan itself had a vent directly above it that absorbed all the smoke. This is the exact same pan/cooker used for the hotpot! No wonder every HDL restaurant doesn’t smell overwhelmingly strong of mala smell cos the smell of the smoke is absorbed immediately!

Next, I think it’s still a pilot program so no sauce was given of which made the meat abit bland. Kimchi (one serving) was given which suddenly made the experience feel so Korean 😂 lettuce was also only one portion of five pieces which wasn’t enough.

Lastly… it’s not HAI DI LAO anymore cos I am not lao-ing anything! I’m just flipping my meat. I think I will return to have my hotpot in HDL and my bbq in Kbbq place.
