rise bakehouse

recently, i went to this highly raved cafe on tiktok — rise bakehouse! i went to the 111 somerset outlet & here’s my honest review of it! :)

the aesthetics and vibes of the cafe is really 10/10! they have a nice interior (which i didn’t take a pic of oops!), especially a cute mirror for you to take pics w your friends 😍

first up, the raspberry lychee rose teacake is my personal fav, the sweetness of the cake is just right for me, and it’s also not very dry 😋😋 definitely would order it again when i revisit the cafe hehe

next, the strawberry shortcake was a lil underwhelming imo, there wasn’t really a wow factor, it just tasted like a normal strawberry cake and given the price of it, i’d definitely go for the raspberry lychee rose teacake instead 😅😅

i didn’t try the mango coconut cake, but my friend said it was nice! it has a nice blend of both the mango and coconut flavours which she thought was a really interesting combination 😋

the honey vanilla chamomile teacake was yums! this is my second favourite after the raspberry lychee rose teacake, it had a really unique taste imo! bear in mind that the chamomile taste is rather strong and overpowering, so if you’re not a fan of chamomile, i’d suggest you try something else instead! 😊

iced uji matcha latte was great! it had a nice balance of sweetness and bitterness, and as an avid matcha lover, this was something that really impressed me 😍 definitely worth giving it a try if you love matcha!

toasted hazelnut latte was amazing! it was more on the sweeter side, and what really caught my attention was the unicorn latte art! it’s so pretty and i was really fascinated by it, given how complex the unicorn drawing is 😍😍

overall, i would say rise bakehouse really lived up to the hype 🤤🤤 the prices are not too high (compared to other cafes) and the portions are just right 😍 10/10 would recommend y’all to visit this cafe w your loved ones ❤️
