When I first started running I was at a 16 minute mile, embarrassing to admit? Yes.

Many people struggle with this insecurity of feeling like they can't run, but truly disagree and know that running is for anyone and everyone that puts their mind to it.

Finding your perfect shoe will really kick start your journey into running, finding a shoe shop that specializes in running is super helpful, they will have you test your new shoes in many different ways. If you don't have the option to do this doing your research and knowing what shoes work for you will help you being on picking out your first pair. Personally Hoka has been my rock through my journey, light shoe with full comfort and safety.

Learning your pace is an important lesson to getting better. What is pace? Pace is a consistent and continuous speed you keep at that is comfortable but pushes you at the same time keeping breaths steady and making long distance easier to do.

Warming up and cooling down, this is vital to your run. How you start your run is how you succeed through out it. Doing pre run range of movement stretches such as high knees, heel flicks and side stepping into a slight squat. This is preparing your body for the range of motion through out your run keep you loose but also strong enough to keep pushing.
