✧₊˚ Make your own checkered crochet bag! 🏁

Been wanting a bag like this,,, so I made one 🥸 check out the tiktok video here 🙇🏻‍♀️

I followed this tutorial on youtube: crochet checkered bag 🍋 It’s pretty straightforward and beginner-friendly. Crocheting is pretty therapeutic ☁️

What you need:

- 3.0 to 4.0mm hook

- approx. 4 skeins of yarn (2 per colour)

- ✨patience ✨

My process:

- I watched the tutorial video a few times and noted important measurements down

- Made adjustments because I wanted the bag to be slightly bigger with a longer strap (skip this step if you are fine with the measurements in the tutorial)

- Remember to count your very first chain and take note when starting a new row

- I divided the entire process into 3 parts - make the two faces of the bag > make the strap > connect the pieces together

My thoughts:

The bag holds up well and feels pretty sturdy. If you want a neater end-product, I suggest sewing an inner layer so you don’t see any loose ends! It was a little tedious when you tried to combine the pieces together, but you can get through it, i promise its worth it HAHA.
