How to handle tough days as a resident physician 👩🏻‍⚕️

Tough days are inevitable in residency- and with psychiatry the days are almost always mentally exhausting ( due to the nature of our specialty) 🧠 .

Everyone handles tough days differently, but things that work for me is going back to the basics that make me feel like a human- and this definitely helps me also be a better physician. Planning fun activities, doing self care like manicures, eating nutritious meals, and getting a sweat in all fill my cup so I can pour into my patients.
