Slay or Nay: BKK Famous Thai Milk Teas 🇹🇭🧋

When in SG & Taiwan - drink BBT, when in BKK - you know it. I’m a huge thai milk tea addict whenever I go to BKK so I was determined this time to try the few brands I’ve seen people recommend. And here’s my honest review of them all.

Pang Cha Thai Royal Cafe (Central World)

Taste: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Price: ⭐️⭐️ slightly towards the pricey side

📍Address: Various Outlets - IconSiam, CentralWorld, Emsphere, Siam Paragon etc

💭 Thoughts: Went to 2 outlets to try, IconSiam & Emsphere. IconSiam staff was honestly quite rude but I guess quite predictable for a Michelin brand lmao, but the milk tea was great, very thick, taste very similar to Cha Tra Mue. And sugar level can be adjusted so that’s a plus.

❌ Please for the love of god do not ever buy the Southern Roti (as seen in pic), it was so tough my metal fork couldn’t even poke through, felt like someone left it there overnight and just reheat in microwave. Absolute no-go.

🤔Would go again?: Yes if there’s no queue but I’ll only buy either the milk tea or the shaved ice. 🍧

karun Thai Tea Gaysorn

Taste: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Price: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ very reasonable

📍Address: Various Outlets - Gaysorn Village, CentralWorld, Emquartier etc

💭 Thoughts: Went to the Gaysorn outlet (mall beside Big C). Tried the normal thai milk tea and got the larger size (16oz) and sugar level can be adjusted too. Got it pretty fast as that outlet had not much traffic in general. Very underrated mall.

🤔Would go again?: Yes. Compared to Pang Cha Karun would taste a tad bit lighter and less thick.

ChaTraMue

Taste: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Price: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

📍Address: Various Outlets - I’m Chinatown, Big C, and many many more

💭 Thoughts: Comparing between Karun, Pang Cha and Cha Tra Mue I honestly would just go to Cha Tra Mue (provided there’s no queue) because the taste is really very very similar but in terms of selection and taste, it still has to be Cha Tra Mue no doubt.

🤔Would go again?: Absolutely, for the price and the convenience this is the winner for me

‼️Pro Tip: If you’re someone like me who prefer to adjust the sweetness of the drinks, do check with the staff first if the drink you want can be adjusted, cause some drinks have a fixed sweetness level.
