Tokyo Day Trip for Early Sakura in Miura 🌸

Had my first cherry blossom viewing in Japan this year and they were gorgeous🥹 🌸 These are the Kawazu Sakuras which bloom earlier than the main popular species which everyone’s eagerly waiting for. Fyi this was on 24th February so they’re probably not around anymore 🥲 But would totally recommend for next year!

The Sakura festival was in Miura, and just an hour and half from Tokyo so doing a day trip is easily possible!It’s also a famous tuna port so you get go scouting for Maguro 🍣 for lunch after visiting the cherry blossoms.

It’s cute how even the train station signboard had sakuras on them 🌸 Once you reach the station you can already see huge sakura trees. After a short walk you’ll see the streets lined with Sakuras! Super pretty ❤️ After finishing the walk we took a bus to Misaki Port for Maguro 🍣 We got the one day ticket which included some restaurants and cafes you can choose from. Found a little restaurant selling amazing Maguro that wasn’t crowded and the owners were lovely🥰 Ended off the trip at a seaside cafe with amazing waffles and a lovely view!

Would definitely recommend visiting Miura not just for the Sakuras 🌸
